Vizen Analytics Introduces Empowered-AI™, a Demand Forecasting Platform For Supply Chain Companies

WALLA WALLA, Washington. January 22, 2021 – Technology solutions provider Vizen Analytics is introducing an advanced demand forecasting platform for food distributors which promises to significantly reduce the level of overstocking and waste in the food supply chain.

Vizen’s proprietary Empowered AI software can improve forecasting accuracy a minimum of 10%, adding more than 2% to a food distributor’s bottom line in reduced inventory holding costs and less waste.

According to CEO Greg Foster, the cloud-based solution called ‘Empowered-AI’ is a platform that can be implemented rapidly, even in large organizations. “All we need is two years of historic data to get started,” he said. “We don’t interfere with any of the company’s existing inventory management software. We can show results within 90 days.”

Empowered AI is initially targeted at mid-sized food distributors with $100 million to $2 billion in annual revenues. “These companies are typically big enough to have digitized records, but not big enough to have their own data scientists on staff,” said Foster. “We can give these organizations very sophisticated demand forecasting tools at a much lower cost and in less time than it would take to hire the staff and build it on their own.”

The need for better demand forecasting tools has grown with recent pandemic-related changes to the food supply chain. “Consumers have changed their food preferences and how they eat, making the old forecasting models obsolete,” Foster said. “It’s critical for food distributors to understand how much this has changed in their regional service areas. Our forecasting models can do that quickly and cost-effectively.”
